This point is driven home in a recent Inbound Logistics article, "The Customer Service Connection," which features the collaborative partnership between Kane and premium pet food company, WellPet.

The article describes how Kane and WellPet operations staff visited WellPet's major distributors at their facilities to understand how to improve service. The visits led Kane to change the pallet configuration on outbound shipments, a change that enabled these distributors to utilize their space more efficiently and to cube out their racking.
