January 30, 2014 - Third-party logistics provider Kane Is Able, Inc. (KANE -- www.kaneisable.com) will add a distribution center in Michigan to its national distribution network in early February, 2014. KANE is opening the operation to address growing customer demand in the Detroit market.
KANE will be moving into a 60,000 square foot facility in Brownstown, Michigan, located 21 miles south of downtown Detroit. The operation will provide cross dock, distribution, and transportation services, and it will employ approximately 60 associates.
This opening follows KANE's recent expansion in the Southern California and Atlanta markets. KANE's national network now totals 6.7 million square feet of distribution space in 21 facilities. Primary locations include Detroit, Southern California, Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles, Kansas City, New Hampshire, and Maryland, as well as more than 2 million square feet of distribution space in Scranton, Pennsylvania, the site of KANE's corporate headquarters.
